Design project-day 2

WE had a clear idea of the type of game we are making. The 3 drawing look totally alike so we chose mine.

  • me: This drawing had the clear idea of the spinner, divided into the sections and it was pretty neat to be a sketch. We need to include alot of colors because thats a really important thing that the model should have, we need to have the sections eqaul also for out final product. 



  • Juan Pablo: Juanpablos drawing had the clear type of game also set but it was not neat. It had the sections clear as well but it was all disorganized. 



  • Silvia: Silvias sketch was extremly neat and easy to understand but it had a mistake, it had 6 sections insted of 5 so there was an empty space and the spinner or the thing you flick wasnt drawn



Our model is small compared what we want our final product to be. We changed one of the sections we had tht was "win a candy" that we cant do it to "sing" that is a fun thing for small kids. 


Feedback:

  • that its active
  • its well for the age we chose
  • you need to spin
IMPROVE:
  • more options 
  • make sure the spinner spins well
  • make the sections equal
  • make it really colofull and iclude glitter and stuff
  • cut the outside of the cardboard so its actually a circle.

Design project day 1

Juan Pablo Saa and Silvia Zarrate

Define Phase:

  • We are going to do the game for primary specifically kinder 4. 
  • Girl and boys both can play the game
  • Its going to be in an easy level because the kids who are going to play are game are small.
  • A game is fun if it has prices, if its in a challenged level, if they have to compete, colorfull, the outside impression it gives.
Research Phase: 
  • I think that this video and see the games that Sammy made, its a game that its not that challenging because itsoinly to throw a ball and then get it, maybe you could improve the game by putting more obsticels, making the hole the goes gets into smaller so its difficult and maybe also putting a second step like the ball has to go fast enough to pass throw a second hole or something like that. 
  • This new video is totally diffrent becuase its a really like sophisticated, its really hard we can see that it always has to be someone in the back part of the machine manageing it. I will also add to it more difficult stuff so not always the player wins. 
  • A good kind of game could be a spinner that has diffrent options, in this video we could see how the game was made and that it has many diffrent options, to win lose so thats fun becuase you have a huge variety of things you can win or lose. maybe to make it more complicated and maybe "adictive" is lossing spots also, not only how they had in the last video that was only ways to win. I thinkk its really important to make it colorfull and nice. 
Ideation Phase:
  • One of the ideas we came up was to do a spinner, this spinner can have options like funny things for the loser/winner to do. Another game we can do is create a mini soccer field and the point of the game is that one kid has its court and the other kids the other court and you need to make goal from one court to another, An other idea could be a a place where balls and have different prices.
  • As a goup we chose the spinner game, this game consists on 5 divisions, each one will be colored different, and each idea would be different and to do something. 
  • Divisions: 
  1. Dance
  2. Do 5 pushups
  3. Do 5 jumpingjacks 
  4. Win a candy
  5. Role again.
     This will  be good and fun for the kids because it will be colofull and have many options, also you can compete to see who does more. Kids in kinder 4 will also love to role and spin the spinner.
     This game is played by one person at a time.
  • If the spinner breaks the hole game will damage. If the spinner stops rolling.
